Largest wellness resort in the Middle East opens in Qatar

Zulal Wellness Resort by Chiva-Som is a groundbreaking resort that has already been named „World’s Best New Wellness Retreat in 2020“ by the World’s Spa Awards in the United Kingdom.

Sharq Village & Spa, a Ritz-Carlton – one of the largest and most luxurious wellness temples in Qatar. Modeled after a traditional Qatari village, the spa has 23 treatment rooms and four spa areas, each with a different theme reflecting Qatar’s rich wellness offerings, as well as hammam rooms, saunas and a private area just for ladies. Nearly half of the wellness treatments are dedicated to local influences, offering guests a new way to familiarize themselves with Qatar and enjoy local wellness practices and ingredients.

Hamad International Airport – „Bester Flughafen der Welt“

Der Hamad International Airport (HIA) in Katar wurde bei den renommierten Skytrax World Airport Awards 2021 mit dem Titel „Bester Flughafen der Welt“ ausgezeichnet und kletterte damit vom dritten Platz an die Spitze des globalen Rankings. Der HIA wurde außerdem mit den Preisen „Bester Flughafen im Nahen Osten“, „Bester Flughafen mit 25 bis 35 Millionen Passagieren“, „Bestes Flughafenpersonal im Nahen Osten“ und „COVID-19 Airport Excellence“ ausgezeichnet.

În Qatar apar proiecte de construcții futuriste

Statul Qatar se lansează în proiecte de infrastructură masive, în timp ce se pregătește pentru Cupa Mondială de Fotbal din 2022. În centrul turneului internațional de fotbal de anul viitor se află orașul Smart City Lusail City, cu o suprafață de 38 km2 – un proiect care ar urma să cheltuiască 45 de miliarde de dolari pentru infrastructura și imobiliarele inteligente din peninsulă.

Qatar construiește, de asemenea, un luxos paradis al cumpărăturilor în stil parizian numit Place Vendôme, un centru de agrement și divertisment numit Doha Oasis și proiectul West Bay North Beach, un amplu program de promovare a turismului.

Lusail City – Orașul viitorului din Qatar
Proiectul futurist de dezvoltare urbană este situat la nord de satul Lusail și se întinde pe o suprafață totală de 38 de kilometri pătrați. Planul de dezvoltare urbană se bazează pe un concept de cartier și de vecinătate care reunește toate facilitățile urbane în cartierele respective, pentru a scurta distanțele până la viața de zi cu zi și până la facilitățile publice. Când va fi finalizat, Lusail City va cuprinde patru insule exclusive și 19 zone rezidențiale, de divertisment și comerciale cu utilizări diferite. Peste 200.000 de rezidenți, 170.000 de profesioniști și 80.000 de vizitatori ai facilităților de divertisment, de agrement, de vânzare cu amănuntul și de ospitalitate își vor găsi aici un nou cămin.

Orașul dispune deja de o rețea rutieră extinsă, de la autostrăzi majore cu mai multe benzi până la simple drumuri de acces local, precum și de tramvaiul Lusail, care are patru linii principale și 37 de stații. Un sistem de răcire care se așteaptă să economisească aproximativ 65 de milioane de tone de CO₂ pe an și un sistem inteligent de drenaj al apei de ploaie pentru a preveni inundațiile sunt doar câteva dintre caracteristici.

Stadionul Lusail (programat să se deschidă la sfârșitul anului 2021).
Proiectat de arhitecții britanici Foster + Partners, stadionul se inspiră din vechea artă arabă a țesutului de boluri și reflectă jocul de lumini și umbre caracteristic felinarelor Fanar. Pe lângă meciurile din toate etapele turneului, stadionul Lusail va găzdui și meciul de deschidere și finala Cupei Mondiale.

Katara Towers
În prezent în construcție, Turnurile Katara reprezintă punctul de reper al orașului Lusail. Strâns înrădăcinată în moștenirea Qatarului, clădirea reflectă sigiliul statului, cu semiluna tradițională de săbii. Clădirea spectaculoasă va găzdui un hotel al lanțurilor hoteliere Fairmont și Raffles și este programată să se deschidă în 2022.

West-Bay-North-Beach-Projectul

Proiectul West Bay North Beach include 13 plaje noi, o varietate de facilități interesante de agrement și divertisment și o serie de chioșcuri. Situat în cartierul de afaceri West Bay din Qatar, proiectul este așteptat să se impună ca una dintre cele mai importante destinații turistice de agrement, de masă și de divertisment din Qatar.

West Bay North Beach este o nouă dezvoltare cuprinzătoare, care acoperă o suprafață de 60.200 de metri pătrați și o plajă de 1,5 km lungime. Acesta este împărțit în zone care vor fi folosite ca plaje private pentru hotelurile din zonă și o secțiune care va servi ca plajă publică.

Place Vendôme – Stilul parizian în Orientul Mijlociu
Situat strategic în inima orașului Lusail, Place Vendôme va deveni noul centru de atracție pentru rezidenții și vizitatorii regionali și internaționali care caută o combinație de divertisment divers și oferte de vânzare cu amănuntul într-un singur loc. Pe o suprafață de 1.150.000 de metri pătrați vor fi construite două hoteluri de lux de cinci stele, Le Royal Meridien și Palais Vendôme, un hotel Luxury Collection, Le Royal Meridien Residences, un centru comercial cu până la 580 de puncte de vânzare, o aripă exclusivistă de lux cu mărci de designer de top și o componentă centrală de divertisment cu atracții permanente, inspirate de faimoasa stradă comercială de lux pariziană Rue de la Paix, al cărei punct de plecare este Place Vendôme. Place Vendôme se construiește în paralel cu infrastructura orașului Lusail – programată să se deschidă în toamna anului 2021.

Qatar Airways Looks Forward to Welcoming World Class Football Teams to Qatar for FIFA Club World Cup 2020™

Qatar Airways is the Official Airline for the tournament for the second year running in Qatar

Taking place from 4 –11 February 2021, FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2020™ will feature the world’s six continental club champions including Qatar Airways partner and European champions FC Bayern München                     

Qatar Airways is proud to be the Official Airline Partner of the FIFA Club World Cup™, hosted in Qatar for the second year running, where the clash of the world’s continental club champions will take place between 4 – 11 February 2021.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the tournament will be organised according to FIFA’s required safety guidelines to uphold the health and safety of all involved in the competition. Education City Stadium and Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium are all set to host the respective matches, with the likes of Ulsan Hyundai (AFC), Al Ahly (CAF), Tigres (CONCACAF) Palmeiras (CONMEBOL), FC Bayern München (UEFA) and host league champions Al Duhail SC (QSL), all set to compete for the most prestigious honour in global club football. In order to ensure a safe and seamless travel experience, the Hamad International Airport team are providing a bespoke operational plan for the teams’ arrivals and departure.

The draw for the tournament took place at FIFA’s headquarters in Zurich, mapping out the tournament schedule, which kicks-off at the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium on February 4.

Zulal Wellness Resort will be operated by the market-leading wellness organisation, Chiva-Som International Health Resort.
