Hideaway Beach Resort & Spa: Luxury Experience at Paradise Haven

Few places on earth can boast such a rich yet sophisticated touch of natural luxury as the Maldives. It seems that this corner of our planet was created precisely to become one of the most desirable holiday destinations. Here, at the northern part of this tropical paradise, is a resort that brings its charms to perfection, offering the delights of world-class hospitality and ultra-comfortable amenities. Welcome to Hideaway Resort in Maldives, the place where dreams of the perfect vacation come true.

Location

Dhonakulhi Island, on which Hideaway Beach Resort & Spa is located, epitomizes the best you can expect from the Maldives and even more. An immaculately maintained piece of paradise land 1.4 kilometers long and 500 meters wide, covered in tropical vegetation, it is surrounded by crystal clear waters and boasts a picturesque lagoon with wonderful private white sandy beaches. In 2005, a resort called Island Hideaway At Dhonakulhi Spa Resort & Marina was launched on the island, and in 2014 it reopened as Hideaway Beach Resort & Spa after a complete renovation. The renovation transformed the place, greatly increasing the number of rooms and improving the infrastructure for greater guest comfort.

The resort guests‘ vacation experience begins with arrival at the airport in Male’, where a Hideaway Beach Resort & Spa representative assists you with check-in for your Maldivian Airlines domestic flight to Hanimaadhoo. After a 40-minute flight, you will arrive at Hanimaadhoo International Airport, from where the resort staff will take you to the Hideaway’s dock, in the caring hands of your butler, who will tell you about the island, explain how things work here, and guide you to your villa.

Villas

Hideaway Beach Resort & Spa offers guests 9 room categories, including a total of 101 spacious and bright villas. All rooms at the resort meet the highest expectations of travelers seeking true luxury and privacy. At the same time, the style of the villas mimics the architecture of traditional Maldivian homes with their

thatched roofs, coralstone-esque walls, wooden floors, and handmade coconut and teak furniture. Villas and rooms ranging in size from 130 square meters to 575 square meters offer one of the highest levels of comfort and luxury in the Maldives. All guests irregardless of room category have a personal butler who takes care of all their needs. They help guests with everything they need at the resort and help plan their itinerary, taking all the stress out of their holiday. There is no need to call reception, outlets, or housekeeping, etc., the butler is the guests’ centralized focal point during their stay at the resort.

The sweet feeling of home away from home will be experienced by guests residing in the Beach Villas at Hideaway. There is a bevy of options to choose from Beach Residences with Plunge Pool (215sqm), Deluxe Beach Residences with Lap Pool (315sqm), Family Villas with Pool (440sqm), Two-Bedroom Family Villas with Pool (575sqm) – luxurious spacious villas that provide a perfect balance of comfort, privacy, and all the amenities needed for a perfect holiday for a family or group of friends. If you dream of spending your vacation literally over water, you’ll opt for one of the many Deluxe Water Villas with Pool (190sqm) located on Hideaway Beach Resort & Spa’s string of water villas located on the end of the island, helping create and complete the crescent shape of the resort. If guests need even more space on the water, they can opt for the luxurious Ocean Villas with Pool (290 sqm) or even larger and more luxurious Two-Bedroom Ocean Villas with Pool (330sqm), which are also the perfect solution for relaxing with family or friends over the crystal blue waters of the Indian Ocean.

There are multitudes of excursions and experiences to be enjoyed while at the resort, from Sunset Cruises to several fishing activities such as pole and line fishing and fly fishing. For fitness junkies, the resort offers exciting experiences such as running in the outdoors of the 33-hectares island with winding roads filled with exciting flora and fauna to make your runs interesting or jumping around at the aqua floating park near the Deep Blue Water Sports Center. Don’t forget to visit the massive sports complex with table tennis, beach volleyball, tennis, gym, and basketball court. There are some amazing experiences for guests who require more relaxing activities such as exploring the unique double house reef while snorkeling and trying out the Golf

Simulator at the Hideaway Golf Centre. All these places at the resort are easily reachable with a handy bike which is available for each villa upon arrival. The Signature Collection by Hideaway

In 2021, Hideaway Beach Resort & Spa unveiled a new concept of a resort within a resort, launching a new brand for the most demanding travelers looking for a truly luxurious Maldivian vacation experience. The Signature Collection by Hideaway embodies a collection of even more spacious beach villas with more bedroom options, offering secluded accommodations such as three-bedrooms and four-bedrooms in nine ultra-luxurious villas on the northernmost point of Dhonakulhi Island. This area of the island is also home to one of the best beaches of the resort – the North Point Beach. Sophisticated guests will enjoy the unique allure of exclusivity and refined luxury praised by the Luxury Lifestyle Awards experts. Design Hotels Stories: Engaging with Places and People

Be it through community-oriented programming or reflecting a city’s history through the narrative of a building, hotels find innovative ways to connect with their surroundings. These seven properties take distinct approaches to engage with, highlight, and understand their locales through the lenses of contemporary art, architecture, gastronomy, and more. In other words, it’s all about location—but not necessarily in a geographic sense.

At Market Street Hotel in Edinburgh, guests are “immediately connected to the heritage of the city”, Original Christa van Camp says. Indeed, behind the Scottish-stone façade are interiors inspired by the city’s character and history, as well as the property’s distinct location at the meeting point of the Old Town and New Town. Textured walls are juxtaposed with minimal lines, and bursts of traditional tartan fabrics are found in unexpected places. The history of place is also reflected at Hotel Pacai in Vilnius, which is housed within a 17th-century Baroque mansion. Formerly home to the noble Pacai family, the structure has been renovated with traditional materials like clay, tin, stone, and original barn wood, but it is also given a contemporary twist through the addition of a new building in the inner yard.

In Athens, Perianth Hotel is also rooted in its building’s history: The structure was built in the 1930s, and the interior design was inspired by the modernist movement of the same era. The results include terrazzo floors, marble furniture elements, and glass-brick walls. Furthermore, the hotel is also home to the Zen Center Athens, an institution for both guests and the local community that is dedicated to meditation, martial arts, yoga, and Eastern philosophy. Elsewhere, Palma’s Concepció by Nobis reflects both the sights and tastes of Mallorca. The lush green hues of the island’s Tramuntana mountains help define the hotel’s color scheme, while local materials, including custom Huget tiles, serve as leitmotifs throughout the property. At the onsite restaurant, Xalest, Mallorca native Chef Xemas Álvarez also brings together island-specific food culture and Spanish dining traditions.

Melding seamlessly with the city’s ebb and flow, Art House Basel is nestled in Basel’s central Steinenvorstadt neighborhood. Steps away are the Museum of Cultures, the three branches of the Kunstmuseum Basel, with works from Old Masters to contemporary art, as well as numerous galleries and boutiques. Moreover, the property itself showcases urban art through permanent installations and rotating exhibitions, hosted in partnership with Colab Gallery from Weil am Rhein. Likewise, a central location and visual art also connect StandArt Hotel Moscow to its surroundings. The country’s art scene is reflected through artworks created by sought-after Russian artist Stanislav Tratsevskiy specifically for the hotel’s public spaces and guestrooms, while major museums, business centers, and sites like the Kremlin are all within a 10-minute walk.

Patina Maldives connects to its location in the Fari Islands of the North Malé Atoll through sustainable and community-oriented practices. The resort’s various dining options feature organic produce grown on-island and all off-island ingredients are accredited by EarthCheck or the International Pole and Line Foundation, with local provenance a clear priority. All drinking water is produced and bottled in glassware at an on-island facility, and much of the resort’s energy is sourced from solar panels. Additionally, of the four Fari Islands, one is dedicated to Fari Campus, an impressive complex with private and public living, socializing, and learning spaces for staff. Here, the aim is to cultivate relationships and nurture both personal and professional growth.

UGANDA – „Perla Africii“

Mini Suite/ Junior Suite
Connecting Rooms/ InterConnecting Rooms

The waste materials collected at Istanbul Airport turned into art at „0“ Zero Point

The portraits that artist Deniz Sağdıç created with waste materials met with the viewers at Istanbul Airport. The exhibition where materials such as the old uniforms bearing the trademarks of iGA and its stakeholders, buttons, as well as plastic containers and bags collected at Istanbul Airport are turned into art draws great interest from the passengers.

Speeding up its activities in culture and art with iGART, Istanbul Airport continues to make more space for art with its innovative projects. The latest of culture and art meetings at Istanbul Airport is taking place with the exhibition “0’’ Zero Point by the artist Deniz Sağdıç. Istanbul Airport aims to inspire its guests about eco-friendly habits with the „0“ Zero Point project. The artworks consisting of portraits with characteristics of various nationalities are exhibited at Istanbul Airport. The exhibition, which was opened for visitors in January in the International Departures Terminal at Istanbul Airport, attracts great attention. A portion of the income received from the sales of the artworks will be used in iGA’s Corporate Social Responsibility Projects. 20 pieces exhibited which Deniz Sağdıç and her team created after 4 months of workshop consist of used/waste materials such as old uniforms bearing the trademarks of iGA and its stakeholders as well as plastic containers, rubbish bags, cables, and buttons discovered and identified by Istanbul Airport’s Waste Management Centre.

Deniz Sağdıç, in her „Ready-ReMade“ project which she launched in 2015, tries to remake everyday objects abandoned by people, as well as all kinds of waste materials, as works of art in the world of art itself. The artist, with this technique, aims to encourage individuals to reconsider their consumption habits, to inspire people and institutions about „sustainability“, to take art closer to people by using everyday materials rather than anything that requires specialization and skill, and to point out that art, like any other area or industry, is a matter of sustainability.

The exhibition launched by Istanbul Airport to inspire its visitors about eco-friendly lifestyle habits and raise their awareness of sustainability and recycling will be open to visitors for three months.
